So I got a job working at Qimonda

Flying rodents [Jun. 23rd, 2008|11:10 pm]
How many people can say a mouse fell out of the sky and landed on their head?

I can.

The funny part is that I didn't freak out about the mouse. I rubbed my head and thought, "stupid owls." Then I hear a dog howl off in the distance but my brain went, "omg werewolf!" and that's when I freaked out and went inside.

I think I've read too many scifi books...

UberNerdKevin09 (11:24:29 PM): so what are u going to do about this werewolf problem?
UberNerdKevin09 (11:24:59 PM): i heard onions work, or is that vampires?
VIOLETS2 (11:25:00 PM): hahaha not go outside without my wolfsbane
VIOLETS2 (11:25:07 PM): ..do you mean garlic?
UberNerdKevin09 (11:25:21 PM): haah yeah, same thing >.> <.

Sick [Feb. 11th, 2008|01:36 pm]
[mood |sicksick]

Damn the flu!

The health center deems me contagious, so I'm heading home for the week. The two week span where I didn't need to get sick, and I'm told I cannot attend classes all week. I hate the flu.

I agree with Courtney on this one [Feb. 3rd, 2008|12:06 am]
Your Five Factor Personality Profile

You have low extroversion.
You are quiet and reserved in most social situations.
A low key, laid back lifestyle is important to you.
You tend to bond slowly, over time, with one or two people.

You have high conscientiousness.
Intelligent and reliable, you tend to succeed in life.
Most things in your life are organized and planned well.
But you borderline on being a total perfectionist.

You have medium agreeableness.
You're generally a friendly and trusting person.
But you also have a healthy dose of cynicism.
You get along well with others, as long as they play fair.

You have medium neuroticism.
You're generally cool and collected, but sometimes you do panic.
Little worries or problems can consume you, draining your energy.
Your life is pretty smooth, but there's a few emotional bumps you'd like to get rid of.

Openness to experience:

Your openness to new experiences is low.
You're a pretty conservative person, and you favor what's socially acceptable.
You think that change for novelty's sake is a very bad idea.
While some may see this as boring, many see you as dependable and wise.

Snow Day [Jan. 17th, 2008|12:14 pm]
Ah yes, wake up for class only to get back in bed because school is closed. I hate snow, but I love snow days.

Do I need a Subject? [Nov. 14th, 2007|12:26 pm]
While sitting in Art History and looking a bronze door of St. Michael's Church at Hildesheim, I notice a this:

On the left side of the door are imagines from the old testament while on the right is the new testament. The third imagine down, on the left, is the scene where Eve is taking the apple from the tree of knowledge. One the right is the crucifixion. The imagines are supposed to be read top to bottom but also side to side. Professor says, "on the left we see man's fall from grace as Eve takes the apple from the tree of life, while on the right we see Jesus taking back man's sin."

I interpret this to mean, Man gains knowledge and then Jesus takes it away, leaving mankind blind and stupid.

Seems this is not something other people want to hear.

So, back at good old SBC for the final year. That is kinda scary. I would like to report that I know I'm going to grad school next fall, but the probability of that happening gets smaller everyday. So perhaps it will be, take a year off to work than go to grad school.

The room is ok now. When I arrived last week it was 1. without AC and 2. infested with spiders.

All sunlight is blocked out of the one tiny window by my big blue blanket. Carson's porch is right beside my window and the damn lights shine in at all times. Plus it means I don't have to see people standing right outside my window smoking, making out, or drinking at 4 am.

Apart from that nothing to exciting going on here. Massive amounts of work seem to be the theme for senior year.
